Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for the third season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, when she was both moderator and host. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she began writing her own show and won an Emmy. The Talk, her outstanding talk show earned her an Emmy. The Talk is a show that examines current events by having five host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS Newsthe weekday morning show The Early Show in 2002 as well as in 2010, before becoming host of the talk show. Prior to that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the news anchor on The Early Show. Following the attacks of 9/11 Chen Moonves uncovered the father and lead hijacker to give an exclusive interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and the Queen Rania of Jordan, former defense secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show that profiled celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves was anchor and reporter for the CBS-owned WCBS-TV station in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS in the late 1990s, as well as an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) as she completed her final year at the University of Southern California.
